Cottonwood Beach Recreation Site is on the east shore of Mabel Lake, reached from Lumby by the Mabel Lake Forest Service Road (turn toward the lake at km 27, then 3 km). Good road access, a sandy beach for swimming and boating, 49 campsites, toilets and tables; the boat launch is best used with all- or four-wheel-drive vehicles. Generator hours restricted. 2026 fee $18 per night, collected May 1 to September 30. No hookups.
