Okanagan Lake Provincial Park – South Campground
Summerland, Thompson Okanagan
About
The South Campground of Okanagan Lake Provincial Park sits at lake level north of Summerland on Highway 97, with a gatehouse where guests register. 86 vehicle-accessible sites plus 8 reservable walk-in tent sites (94 in total). Sites are close together and vary: long narrow gravel sites against the hillside, long paved sites with the table and fire ring down stairs on a lawn, and short wide gravel sites where the tow vehicle parks beside the trailer. Those short sites are not suitable for motorhomes or long trailers. Newer shower building with flush toilets beside the playground, pit toilets, cold-water taps, concrete boat launch with dock, and a summer concession at the gatehouse. Easy beach access from all sites. No electrical, water or sewer hookups are listed. Peak $51/night, shoulder $35/night (BC seniors $25.50), plus $20 non-resident fee. The gate stays open until snowfall with winter camping at $13 per party per night (cash, self-registration, no services or firewood). Pets on leash, not on beaches or in buildings.
