About
Mahood Lake Campground is in the southwest corner of Wells Gray Park, reached by road from the Cariboo side (via Highway 24/Canim Lake area). It has 37 vehicle-accessible campsites, all reservable, near several hundred metres of beach suited to swimming. Mahood Lake has a boat launch and an adventure playground. The park has pit toilets and campfire rings; the campground's water has a permanent boil-water advisory. No hookups. 2026 fee: $23 per night. The main campground closes in the off-season; five sites remain open with no services or fees. Two reservable group sites are nearby.
